Clarence Jones is the Director of Outreach for Q Health Connections, a division of South side Community Health Services in South Minneapolis. As the host of Community Health Dialogue, he allows for candid conversation around seldom discussed health related issues, myths and concerns in the community. The objective is to present individuals, organizations and facts that allow for an honest dialogue that will result in making our diverse community healthier.

ATUM AZZAHIR is the President and Executive Director of the Powderhorn/Phillips
Cultural
Wellness Center, a non-profit organization. The Center is a place where people can learn
their own and each other ’s cultural traditions and health practices. The mission of the
Center is to unleash the power of citizens to heal themselves and to build community. A
major goal of the Center is to be the recognized authority on cultural approaches for
preventing sickness and improving the health of individuals in a community context.
Atum created and led a two-year community assessment process (94-96) that is now the
foundational strategy for studying cultural knowledge that leads people to health.

Anthony Taylor

Anthony Taylor is the Founder and Chief Story-Teller of SPA O. N.E. and Simply Organic Living. Anthony Taylor has built a reputation as a “whole systems” thinker and works to reveal those connections( between nature and our nature), to strengthen the awareness of cause and effect on a personal level- and to offer choices for living life in balance. As a motivational speaker and educator, Taylor has shared his philosophies at Harvard University, The
University of Minnesota, Stanford University, The Black Women ’s Expo, The Healthy Living Conference,
Aveda Congress, Allina Health ’s Speaking of Women ’s Health and at Fortune 500 Companies throughout
the nation.
Anthony and his mother Atum Azzahir share their expertise on Day One, addressing wellness, holistic health
and healthy living. They share the lessons learned from their special relationship with a growing
audience looking for hope and strategies for living life in balance.

Greg Westbrook

Greg Westbrook was raised on the North Side of Minneapolis and graduated from North High School. He currently still has family roots in the community. He graduated from Mankato State University with degrees in Public Administration and Law Principles. He has worked with the Social Security Administration for over 27 years and is currently the Manager of the Edina District Office. He enjoys being active in the community and one of his life’s goals is to do what he can do to improve the lives of young men.

Rhonda Whitenack

Rhonda Whitenack is a Public Relations and Training representative with the Social Security Administration for the State of Minnesota. She has served as a claims representative, program writer and supervisor, although she has gained much of her experience in management during her 15 year career with Social Security. She received her Bachelors degree in Business from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Rhonda’s primary goal is to educate the public on Social Security’s Programs and Benefits. Rhonda was selected to conduct a Medicare training event for President Bush at the Maple Grove Community Center on June 17, 2005. (pictured above) She takes great pride in participating in large media events as well as working at the grassroots community level. Rhonda has received National Recognition for her service but also has received awards at the local level from the Minnesota Dept on Aging, the Office of the Governor and for outreach to the Latino and Native American communities. She has appeared on television and radio. You can also read her monthly newspaper column in Good Age Newspaper.

Rashida Fisher

Rashida Fisher received her Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota where she majored in Psychology with a focus in Youth Studies/ Development and African American Studies. She holds a license in Drug and Alcohol Counseling and is currently working toward a Master’s degree in Mental Health counseling.  Rashida has worked in various capacities serving diverse populations and currently works as Drug and Alcohol Counselor focusing on assessment of addiction.   Rashida believes in the inherent good of every human being; that everyone has the ability and capacity to promote and achieve mental health; through an individually defined state of wellbeing.  Her mission is to empower others to build the capacity to thrive, through the development of resilience.

Brother Milford

Milford E. Johnson (A.K.A. brother Milford) Moderator of the Seniors Perspective Program on 89.9 KMOJ
Brother Milford is a seventy-five year old community activist in the twin cities, who is a nineteen sixty-eight Graduate of Wichita St. University, earning a B.A. Degree in Radio-T.V. Broadcasting and past the testing for a Third Class FCC License With endorsement.

Brother Milford is Retired after twenty three years with M.T.C. as a City bus Driver, who retired in nineteen ninety-five.
